Einiosaurus was a vegetarian that lived around 85 to 70 million years ago during the late Cretaceous period.
Like all Ornithischians Einiosaurus had a toothless beak for stripping tough vegetation off plants, and lots of teeth in is jaws for chewing it. Einiosaurus probably lived in herds grazing off low lying vegetation growing on the plains.
Contemporary predators would have included Tyrannosaurs rex.
Einiosaurus means "buffalo lizard". It was named by Scott Sampson in 1995. Fossils have been found in Montana in the USA.
